Yoga-sutra ends up with the conclusion that Purusa is citi-sakti, the Power of Consciousness (caitanya), rather than the empirical consciousness (citta) which is an evolute of prakrti.

If this is the proper semantic field of cit in satcidananda, then we should probably assume that sat and ananda are also principles/powers of existence and bliss rather than the existence and bliss taken per se and as objective paramount realities.

The crucial but undeclared good here is prana, which always seeks to bond itself to corporeality and thereby engender stability of light. Prana is the basis of relishing ananda.

It occurred to me some years ago while living at the Vietnamese cloister in Hannover that an insurrection of subjugated protean knowledges would one day be filmed by a girl named Sophia.

The archetypal myth of Goddess Psyche is therefore worth the blush, as it sur-veills, equi-veils and entails the sequencing of an empirical-transcendental spousal bind cinematically purveyed as purusha & prakrti. Ancient Greek words with the phys root (physical), stem from the Ionian-Greek physis, the spark of nature, the spark of life. I take this as the true implication of physics, which originally indicates an inquiry into nature. Later it formed the concept of psyche; initially the anthropomorphic Goddess of Soul and then later the actual soul-itself with its amorphic dream-life beyond the delimiting physical body. Still later when abducted by the jailers of Engineering Science (Aristotle), this ethereal, all-nature-pervading element soul became intensively masculinized and narrowly conceptualized into an intellectually plausible mind; hence its delegation to a theoretic "psyche" as analytically studied in our departments of psychology. Correspondingly, physics has virtually succeeded in ousting prakrti from the entirety its sterilized structures and in so doing descended to an unappealing form of cerebral mechanics.

The Power of Consciousness, the Power of Existence, and the Power of Bliss are powerless in Purusa, they are neither manifested nor efficient. As opposed to the Aristotelian hylemorphism, where the forms have all the power of moulding the matter.

    ...or so they both reason.
Their masculine forms are both non-starters.

"are powerless in" is contradictory or redundant.
From whose/what's point of view? Purusa's? The writer of the text?

The powerless power is indeed a contradiction. Yet Purusa is powerless without prakrti, remember the cripple (lame purusa) of Isvara Krsna.

Ironical as it is, Purusa requires Prakrti as a medium to manifest its power. But so far as Purusa is concerned, whatever goes by the name "Power" from the empirical perspective is actually a compromise to be limited to the space/time frame of Prakrti. It is a bondage and hence actual freedom for the Purusa is kaivalya or aloofness from the clutches of Prakrti. That is why Yogasutras maintain that even 'supernatural' powers are an impediment to the Purusa.

Indeed, siddhis are impediments because, as pointed out by Vacaspati Misra in his Tattva-vaisaradi I.19, they may cause the advanced samadhin to stick to samsara for million of million of years, see his comments on the videhins and prakrtilayins.
